Unraid new config tool. I'm one of those folks who likes to know how things work vs what to do to make things work. If you have two parity drives you can still switch slots but you will need to recalculate parity. Just wondering if someone in the know could give me a quick run down on its function and things it affects/updates. I made a change on one of my Pools (unplugged 3 small NVMe SSD and stuffed a big NVMe SSD in my System). Some of the apps and settings i was messing around with are causing issues and just want to start fresh. I selected to preserve my Array and applied the change. So there is some manual work to do with the data on the leftover disks? Transfer it to the new larger disks, I mean. After you make the new config and align the drives ensure to click “parity is valid” immediately around the start array button. The new disk will probably mow show as unmountable and need formatting before it is ready to accept files.
